I want to work at home is something I hear a lot of people saying with this bad economy. I have to say, it is wonderful to be able to know that you do not have to worry about getting a pink slip unless you feel like firing yourself. I have been doing it and so can you, there are just a few things you need to know. Working at home can be quite rewarding! Follow along on my blog to see different tips about working at home as there are some things that can distract you along the way.
Things you should know before starting an online business:
Investigate before you jump in. This is very important!! There are so many people selling so many products online that you can end up spending a lot of money on useless stuff. There are also many companies out there that claim instant riches. Rule of the trade-if it sounds too good to be true, assume that it is too good to be true. There is no overnight riches unless you are selling your own digital product, even then it will take a little time. Do a Google search on any potential company or product you are about to spend money on before you spend money. If you see a couple unsatisfied customers but many satisfied customers, you may have something good. If you see only satisfied customers, it may be too new (you can't please everybody and somebody will not be happy with it.) If you see way too many bad complaints then stay way away.
Check out your sponsor. When you choose to start an online business, there will be a sponsor. This is the person whose link took you to the opportunity. Your sponsor should be an important part of your business, maybe even the most important part so make sure you check them out. You can do a search for them and see if there are any complaints about the way they treat their business. You probably won't find much doing a search on the person's name so you will want to contact them and get to know the person. If you contact them and do not hear back from them within about 48 hours (on cases it may take longer if they are on vacation), then do not do business with them. Remember this is your money and future, even if you like the company and are eager to start your business you want help from upline. Make sure your sponsor is willing to help you. I am open to all questions from all of my associates, blog readers and business members. Not everybody is however. They should be committed to helping you.
Make sure the business can be successful. As a rule, I do not jump on pre-launches. Many companies do not make it out of pre-launch and if they do, they may not make it out of their first year. I prefer to work with a company that has been around long enough to prove to me that they will allow you to grow with them not go down with them.
Look for residual income. I prefer a company that you can build residual income with. It usually does involve a monthly fee but I would rather build up income more and more each month. If you have a one time fee, what is the business? You are probably just relying on new people to pay a one time fee and you get the commission. This will be a forever battle trying to make money each month. You would have to work hard to get new people every month, this can be difficult. When there is a monthly fee (as long as the company is legit), you will get recurring monthly payments. As you gain new members and customers, your monthly income continues to grow. Residual income is so much better!
Make sure the company is legit. If the company is legit, there will be a product or service that you are offering. It may not be legal if there is no product or service being paid for. They should have a business license and a headquarters that you can verify. There should be ways to get ahold of the company and you should be able to find where their headquarters is located. You should see ways to mail, email and call the company.
There are many things to learn about working at home but if you follow the information above, you should be able to make an informed decision when you pick a company to start a business with. It is very rewarding to work at home, you just need to make sure you are careful. Success can be yours, just make sure you pick the right business!
I have seen some good companies online (I have seen more bad then good tho) and I am not going to tell you that you have to follow me with Wela. I love Wela as a company, they are great to start a business with and the pay plan is designed to help you succeed. If you ask my advice on a legit company, the one I would recommend would be Wela but the choice is up to you. You are the one who needs to decide on what would work for you.
